When a terminal illness strikes a family member, it has a profound effect on everyone. Hospice of Eastern Connecticut addresses the family's needs with a multi-faceted program of support. Our Hospice nurses teach family members how to help care for their loved ones. Our trained volunteers provide respite and a listening ear for family members. Our medical social workers help the family cope with the stress and impending loss. And, after the patient's death, our 13-month bereavement program provides continuing support for the family.

The Nurse and Physical Therapist I had were totally invested in my improvement. They listened and encouraged. They were organized and responsible.
Our care providers were all well informed, answered all questions and concerns. Very professional, yet very personable.
My nurses were so kind and considerate with me. They were very concerned about my well being. Took time to explain everything to me.
